Our Story

Our journey began when our one-year-old son was diagnosed with cancer.

During a routine check-up, his pediatrician felt something unusual in his abdomen. An ultrasound later that day revealed a tumor consuming most of his right kidney. Surgery was scheduled immediately, and the kidney was removed. The doctors were confident they had removed the entire tumor. But when the pathology report came back, our world shifted again, he had clear cell sarcoma of the kidney, a rare and aggressive cancer. Worse still, there were signs the tumor had already started to spread.

We were faced with an impossible decision: monitor and hope the tumor wouldn’t return, or begin aggressive chemotherapy and radiation to eliminate any hidden cancer cells. Both options carried serious near-term and long-term risks. But with our backgrounds in medical science, we were able to dig into the clinical research, understand treatment options and outcomes, and ask the right questions. That knowledge gave us the confidence to make the most agonizing decision of our lives, knowing we were doing everything possible to protect our son’s future.

The months that followed were some of the hardest we’ve ever experienced. Watching our son suffer through the treatment was heartbreaking. But we leaned on each other and stayed focused. We asked the tough questions, caught mistakes, and advocated fiercely for his care. Today, he’s a healthy, active teenager—and we live each day with the peace of mind that we made the best possible decisions using the most current, cutting edge medical knowledge.

During our time in the pediatric oncology ward, we witnessed something equally powerful. Family after family sat in quiet desperation, overwhelmed by fear, confusion, and the complexity of treatment. Many didn’t have the knowledge or confidence to question or fully understand what was happening. The helplessness in the air was unmistakable and unforgettable. It was in those moments that the idea for Moore Clarity took root.

Since then, we’ve helped friends and loved ones navigate their own cancer journeys. Now, we’re extending that support to others. Moore Clarity exists to give families the guidance we were so fortunate to have, to turn fear into understanding, uncertainty into action, and isolation into partnership.

You don’t have to go through this alone.

We know what it’s like. We were once in the position of confusion, fear and endless questions. That personal experience, combined with decades of scientific research, led us to create Moore Clarity. We believe that when you understand your choices, you feel empowered, engaged and more in control of your care.

Why We Started
